At the end of April, this years’ Upgraded Life Festival, also known as ULFFI, gathered the front line of health and wellness innovators and influencers to Helsinki. Organized by the Health Startup Association of Finland HealthSPA for the first time in 2014, the festival has in three years grown from a small one-day seminar into the biggest health startup and innovations event in the Nordics.
This year, ULFFI brought together more than 1100 participants, 90 exhibitors, and 80 startups. The festival program and exhibitors provided an inspiring combination of topics ranging from drinkable supermeals and digital self-monitoring applications to the potential of augmented reality and robotics in healthcare.
”We are very happy to see that ULFFI has managed to rapidly grow right from the beginning”, says Hanna Vartia, Director of HealthSPA. She continues: “As healthtech has become the fastest growing high-tech sector in Finland and the health startup community is strengthening every day, we are eager to take the festival even further in the future.”
