We are proud to announce that our team has gained yet another member! Please allow us to introduce Kaisa Teittinen, MedEngine’s new Scientific Advisor.
Kaisa has a background in cellular and molecular biology. In 2014, she received her PhD from the University of Tampere, where her research focused on cancer signaling and the role of nucleolar proteins in pediatric leukemia. During her biomedical research career, Kaisa worked on a wide range of projects, varying from leukemia subtype analysis to studying zebrafish development.
In addition to her love of the medical sciences, Kaisa is inspired by learning new things, working with interesting people, and applying her academic skills in an entirely new context. As she enjoys problem solving and challenging herself, she finds that the pharmaceutical industry offers her a truly rewarding work environment. “Working for MedEngine’s customers gives me a unique opportunity to work on multidisciplinary projects that aim to help people and to improve patient’s lives,” she says, and continues with a smile, “What more could you want from a job?”
